Abstract

This book introduces an innovative theoretical framework for understanding human-technology relationships, introducing "Technoanalysis." The author employs Freudian psychoanalysis, biosemiotics, and Latour's actor-network theory to analyze artificial intelligence. Unconscious dynamics affecting AI and digital technology are crucial for effective control. The book unveils a radical rethinking of the human mind, with Technoanalysis visualizing the mind as a hybrid network of humans and non-human actors in constant interaction. The author argues that human unconscious dynamics shape technology, just as technology influences human unconscious dynamics. This perspective extends to social robotics and artificial intelligence. "Unconscious Networks" is aimed at scholars and advanced students interested in philosophy of technology, philosophy of artificial intelligence, psychoanalysis, and science and technology studies.
