Book review: Margit Eckholt, Dorando Michelini (ed.) (2024). Interpretatio temporis. Annäherungen an Peter Hünermanns Denken im Dienst einer Kirche in der Welt

Abstract

This text reviews the book edited by Margit Eckholt and Dorando Michelini, entitled Interpretatio temporis. Annäherungen an Peter Hünermanns Denken im Dienst einer Kirche in der Welt [Interpretatio temporis. Approaches to the thought of Peter Hünermann in the service of a Church in the world] (Ostfildern, Grünewald, 2024). After an introduction to the meaning of the text and its link to Hünermann's work, the review structures the presentation of the articles into three major contributions: the historical framework, the conceptual contributions, and the political and normative aspects that emerge from the German theologian's analyses. Finally, the review concludes with two questions related to interculturality and the issue of democratization.
